Review – Your Work Wellness Toolkit – Ellen M Bard

The opportunity arose to read books from a new publisher that I haven’t reviewed any books for before.

This is the first one that appealed to me.

Title: Your Work Wellness Toolkit

Author: Ellen M Bard

Publication Date: 11th January 2022

My Thoughts:

I really rather enjoyed this book from the first page.

It is my sort of book, set out in a really practical way.

There are 10 chapters and each chapter has 10 points.

The chapters are:

  • Physical Environment
  • Mindset
  • Working from Home
  • Doing the Hard Stuff
  • Productivity and Focus
  • Breaks
  • Time Management
  • Work Relationships
  • Development and Growth
  • Handling Change

One thing that I knew would appeal to me is the practical exercises. There are thought provoking questions. You can spend some time noting the way that you approach work and take practical action.

As someone who has been working from home as a result of the covid pandemic I believed that this book would be beneficial.

Bard recommends that you look at the ideas and implement as you see fit.

I am very grateful that I was given the opportunity to read and review this book. There are most definitely some areas that I will be working on to ensure that I prioritise my self care in order to bring my best self to work.
